Commercial cover from the Capital Hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas sent to Texarkana. A wonderful Little Rock "star in double diamond" Columbia machine cancel ties a Washington flag stamp to cover. The envelope was poorly addressed and subsequently opened by a post office employee to try and determine where Mr. C. S. Johnson lived. With an answer found inside the envelope, the postal employee marked the cover with an auxillary hand stamp ("To avoid delay in delivery, have your mail addressed to Street and No.") and resealed the envelope with official seals before delivering.
